Hello and welcome. This here is the blog for my university research project.

For my research project I wanted to look into the study of fairytales and in particular the tale of Snow White. The aim was to look into the portrayal of the tale. To look into the origin and structure of Snow White and to experiment with ways to bring out the darker elements of the tale in the field of film, stop-motion and puppertry.

All in all my project can be summed up in the following question: What are the different forms of portraying the darker aspects of the traditional tale of Snow White in the areas of puppetry and film?

Of course the project has changed over the course of the year. Originally I planned on making this a joint project and there are still elements of that in the clothing designs of characters. Also I originally wanted to make a stop-motion film but gradually became more and more interested in the puppetry aspect over everything else.
